Next Day Blinds is looking for a Slat Inspector that will be responsible for being an inspector of high volume wood and faux slat for defects such a bow/warp, canting and pinhole marks prior to entering production. Evaluate and execute ideal cut plan based on location and spacing of defects to maximize utilization of material. Maintain stock of all required cut lengths to maximize front end efficiency. Keep accurate inventory of processed material to monitor true scrap rates and process pace.
Accurately inspect slat for quality defects while following the correct cut plan to maximize product usage.
Communicate with warehouse for product replenishment and the leadership team to address quality and/or stock concerns.
Inventory unprocessed and cut slat as needed.
Accurate complete daily process record sheets which includes boxes processed, material stocked and defective material weight.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Inspect slat for quality defects
· Committed to a fast and accurate pace to ensure stock levels are maintained.
· Keep accurate inventory of slat processed.
· Follow correct cut plan

· 1+ years of manufacturing experience preferred
